Mnscpe Software S.A. de C.V. ("Mainscope") provides the
Merck Group Events mobile application ("App"), developed exclusively for
Merck Group events, subject to this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use, and other applicable policies. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Merck Group Events App.
1. Purpose and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Mainscope collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use the
Merck Group Events App.
All personal data collected is
used exclusively for the planning, organization, and execution of Merck Group events and will not be used for unrelated commercial purposes.
Mainscope acts as the
data controller for all personal data processed through this App.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
a) Information you provide voluntarily
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Gender
- Year of birth
- Address
- Comments related to the event
- Optional details such as dietary restrictions or accessibility needs
b) Information collected automatically
- Device information (model, OS version, unique device identifiers)
- IP address and location (approximate, based on IP)
- App usage data (features used, pages visited)
c) Information from third-party sources
- If the event organizer provides participant lists for registration purposes
- If you connect via third-party services (e.g., social media logins)
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data unless voluntarily provided for event purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your personal data is used solely to:
- Manage event registration and participation.
- Send event-related communications (e.g., reminders, agenda updates).
- Provide logistical information (venue, schedule changes, transportation).
- Generate attendance records and participation certificates.
- Improve event organization and the App experience through analytics.
Mainscope will
not share your personal data with Merck Group for purposes other than the organization and execution of the event.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We only share your personal data with:
- Authorized Mainscope personnel.
- Third-party service providers strictly necessary for operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery).
We require all service providers to protect your data and use it only for the contracted purpose.
We may disclose personal data if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
5. Data Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Upon request, we will delete your personal data from our active systems, except where retention is legally required.

Under Mexican data protection law, you have the right to:

- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Cancel your data when you consider it is not required for the stated purposes.

The App may use local storage or similar technologies to store session preferences or settings. These are not used for advertising tracking.

The App is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without parental consent.
10. International Data Transfers
If we store or process your data outside of Mexico (e.g., in cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud), we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App and on our website, indicating the date of the last revision.
